The Architecture of Mickey Muenning


Informed by rock cliff, shattered sea and wind torn cypress, the architecture of Mickey Muennig seems to have grown organically from the epic wild of his beloved Big Sur.  The area is home to the bulk of the residences he has built over the last 40 years, California coast serving as both muse and idol, his structures at times half hidden, buried among moss and rock, or at times open wide, bowing to the elements, glass walls framing the Pacific like a work of art.
